Terms of Service
Last updated: 13 June 2026
Draft pending legal review. Provided in good faith; the definitive terms will be published after solicitor sign-off.
These terms govern your use of InfraValue (“the platform”, “we”, “us”), a UK biomethane and anaerobic digestion asset-intelligence service operated by InfraValue, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
1. The service
InfraValue aggregates information from public registers and other sources to help you screen, map, and monitor UK biomethane and anaerobic digestion assets. The platform is provided on a subscription basis across the tiers described on our pricing page, plus a free tier with limited access.
We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce the core functionality of a paid tier.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration details and tell us promptly of any unauthorised use. Accounts are for use by the named subscriber and, on multi-seat tiers, the permitted number of named users. You may not share a single seat among multiple people.
3. Subscriptions, payment, and trials
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on the cycle you select (monthly or annual). Where a free trial is offered, you may be asked for payment details at sign-up; unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan and the first payment is taken automatically.
Fees are stated exclusive of any applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time through your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and we do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods except where required by law.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, bulk-download, resell, or redistribute the platform's data except as expressly permitted;
- attempt to circumvent access controls, tier limits, or security measures;
- use the platform to breach the licence terms of any underlying data source;
- use automated means to access the platform beyond any provided API and its limits; or
- use the platform unlawfully, including to harass or defame any person or company.
5. Data, sources, and accuracy
The platform draws substantially on public-register information, including data published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and Companies House and HM Land Registry data under Crown copyright. Source licences and attributions are set out on our data sources page.
Public registers contain errors, lags, and gaps, and the matching of companies and records to physical assets is in places probabilistic. We provide the platform “as is” and make no warranty that any data point is accurate, complete, or current. The platform is a screening tool, not a source of advice — see the disclaimer.
6. Intellectual property
The platform's software, design, compiled datasets, scoring, and original content are owned by InfraValue or its licensors. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for your own business screening purposes for the duration of your subscription. Underlying public-register data remains subject to its own source licence.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for any decision you make in reliance on the platform, for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, or anticipated savings. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the platform in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or use the platform in a way that risks harm to us, other users, or our data sources. You may stop using the platform and cancel at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 5 to 7) will do so.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new “last updated” date and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify subscribers. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any non-waivable rights you have as a consumer.
